You can visit some of the world’s most popular destinations on our 2025 World Tour. Just reserve your spot and leave the planning to us! Our 2025 World Tour is unique because it’s curated for plus-size travelers and welcomes travelers of all sizes and gender identities. Unlike Fat Camp and our Fat Girl Getaways, which are exclusively for women. So you can come alone on one of our trips to Japan,Thailand, Oaxaca, Mexico and Iceland, or you can bring someone!

Fat Girls Traveling founder and your host Annette has meticulously curated these tours, making sure that every fat-positive detail is tended to. Along with your host, you’ll have a Local Guide who’s familiar with the local culture and customs. You’ll stay in a beautiful 3-4 star boutique hotels and have some meals provided.

Japan: Cherry Blossom Tour

Our 8-day Japan: Cherry Blossom Tour is a rare opportunity to visit Japan in the spring. You’ll get to experience nature’s magic with a picnic in the park and nature walks. You’ll immerse yourself in the culture and customs of the country, learn how to make sushi, experience traditional tea ceremonies, and more! 

After 3 days in Tokyo where you’ll visit the Harajuku District, check out one of the busiest intersections in the world, learn to make sushi, and sing karaoke. You’ll take the iconic Bullet Train to Takayama. Where you can have an onsen experience in the comfort of your hotel. Next, you’ll head to Kyoto where you’ll wander the historic Gion district, take a Shobori class, visit the world-famous Fushimi Inari Shrine, and more.

Thailand: Songkran Festival Tour

Songkran is one of the most unique festivals you’ll ever experience! This water festival is a celebration of Thai New Year. During the 3-day event, you’ll immerse yourself in the colorful traditions of Thailand. Allowing the splashes of water to wash away your worries as you celebrate new beginnings with new friends. 

Your 10-day Thailand: Songkran Festival Tour will begin with 5 days in Bangkok, visiting temples, seeing the sights, and taking a Thai cooking class. Followed by 5-days in the sand and sun of Phuket. You’ll get to experience the last day of Songkran on the beach.

Oaxaca: Dia de Muertos Tour

October 22 – November 2, 2025

Our 12-day Dia de Muertos Tour is a unique opportunity to authentically experience a global celebration of life and the afterlife. You’ll begin in Mexico City where you’ll enjoy a Luche Libre show (Mexican wrestling), visit the home of artist Frida Kahlo, and experience the Xochimilco canals.

Before heading to Oaxaca for the most unique Dia de Muertos event in the world, you’ll visit Puebla where you’ll have a group photo shoot in a Cempasuchil garden. During your days in Oaxaca, you’ll learn about Oaxacan art and culture or rest before visiting the local cemetery at night to observe the rituals in real-time.

Iceland: Chasing The Northern Lights Tour

Let’s go chase the Northern Lights in Iceland! When your not exploring nature with daily walks and waterfall chasing. You’ll be relaxing in the iconic Blue Lagoon and dancing your way down the rainbow road in Reykjavik! 

The Chasing The Northern Lights Tour is perfect for the traveler who isn’t afraid to go after what they want. Someone who loves nature is adventurous and is willing to wake up early and stay up late for a chance to get a glimpse at the Aurora Borealis. We’ve worked with a local guide to map out the most accessible hikes and waterfalls to minimize hills and inclines when possible.

Please note that while there is a good chance of seeing the lights of the aurora this far north, there is no guarantee, as they are a natural phenomenon and weather conditions can affect visibility.
