6 Erotica and Romance Books That Should Be On Your Radar

The day I discovered romance and erotica books was an awakening for my younger self. I remember finding some paperback with a too big muscle man with luscious long hair and women with fantastic boobs and flowing hair. I hid it in my bag and read it in secret. I knew, somehow, that this was a book I shouldn’t be reading, but I did it and loved it. #RebeliousBookReader Somewhere along the way, I stopped reading erotica, but a few years ago, I stumbled upon the genre again. It now seems that I have become the go-to for all things erotica here at The Fat Girls Guide!

The Duke and I by Julia Quinn

If you were one of the millions who watched The Bridgertons on Netflix, this book is for you. This is the first book on which the series is based. Now you have the added visuals of Duke of Hasting and Daphne Bridergton to see the book come to life in your bed.

A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas

You should start with the first book of this series, A Court Of Thorns and Roses but if you just want to get straight to the real smut, head to Chapter 55. This series centres around Feyre Archeron and takes places in a world where humans and Fae’s live. Magic, smouldering men, and immortal lovers are just a few of the reasons this book has such a fanbase.

Power of Five Book 1 – A Reverse Harem by Alex Liddel

This book is available on Amazon Unlimited, and if you like the idea of fantasy and multiple men, then this reverse harem story is for you. I love a good reverse harem, and the first few books in this series deliver a little fantasy for every gal or guy that is sure to deliver on the erotica level.

Hate to Want You by Alisha Rai

Truth be told, the cheesier the cover, the more likely I will love the erotica! This is a modern-day Romeo and Juliet where the main characters, are both scions of a massive grocery store chain. Their families have been wrenched apart in a business deal. They meet up still for one day a year for a quick, no-strings-attached sex sesh, but… well, you’ll just have to read to see what happens!

The Roommate by Rosie Danan

The Roommate by Rosie Danan is about a woman who moves across the country with the person she has been crushing on since childhood. But then, Clara ends up meeting Josh. A charming stranger whom she has zilch in common with, but that doesn’t seem to stop them from having fantastic sex.

The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty by Anne Rice

If you liked Fifty Shades of Grey and Twilight, then you will LOVE this erotica book. Rice mixes vampire legends with erotica. This is an intense retelling of Sleeping Beauty. The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty removes all timid elements and instead makes it sexually charged story where instead of waking the princess up with a kiss, the prince awakens her through an S&M-filled sexual initiation.

  1. I’ve only just now allowed myself to read these types of stories and now I can’t stop. I’ve been missing out! I recommend The Alphas Destined Mate and The millennium Wolves and anything that Jayce Carter writes. I’ve found them all on different erotica novel apps and I couldn’t put them down.
