This month we’re excited to offer you more social distancing content to help you navigate these difficult times. One of our Facebook Community members recently shared photos from her Baecation and they are too good not to share! She organized a few different road trips in her area that would allow her and bae to get away for the day, while staying at a safe distance. Here’s what Ashley had to say about her SoCal Baecation.
It’s some weird times y’all! With trying to make sense of it all (or not) while still feeding our traveling souls, it can be challenging venturing out. Bae and I have been seeking outdoor activities in SoCal to keep busy. Below is a list of kid friendly places and information on a few of my favorites.
Alpaca Hacienda
Temecula, CA
This is a wheelchair accessible Alpaca family farm. You can book a private hour tour for 1-5 people for $100 and feed the alpacas. These private tours were created so that guests can social distance or visit with their bubble. Don’t forget to pack a picnic so that you can have lunch with a view after your tour.
Lavender Walk at 123 Farms
Cherry Valley, CA
These organic lavender fields are the home of more than 90 varieties of lavender. To go for a walk through the lavender fields will cost you $20 and includes a table reservation for up to 10 guests. Due to Covid19 tickets must be purchased online prior to visiting as they will not be available at the door. Tickets are limited for social distancing and guests are required to wear a mask or other face covering.
Palm Springs Sign
Palm Springs, Ca
If you don’t take a photo at the Palm Springs sign, did you even go?
Windmill Tours
Palm Springs, Ca
This self-driven tour ($40) guides you with an audio program and marked destination’s throughout the first commercial wind farm in the United States. Once booked, an email confirmation is sent along with a map, instructions and recording. This was a cool experience and we really enjoyed it, but it was HOT and very windy. I would put this off until the Fall.
Stearns Wharf
Santa Barbara, Ca
Santa Barbara Chromatic Gate
Santa Barbara, Ca
Tanaka Farms
Irvine, CA.
This U-Pick & Plant adventure ($20) includes a wagon ride around the farm. You will make stops along the way to pick different fruits and veggies based on crop availability. The last stop is on a hilltop where you learn how to plant your very own strawberry plant to take home! Social distancing rules apply and all persons 3 years and over are required to wear a mask.
