About This Trip
Hallo! (Hello)! We’re excited to invite you to our Beauty of the Netherlands Tour. You’ll be exploring the Netherlands with our Editor-in-Chief, Annette for 7 days from April 18-24, 2024. This private tour was created and curated by the Fat Girls Traveling team.
With a handful of visits to the Netherlands under her belt, Annette regrets never visiting during tulip season, so that’s what we’re doing! We’ll also be exploring places outside the city like Haarlem and getting spoiled during our spa day.
This spring Netherlands Tour will begin in Amsterdam and end in Rotterdam. Not only will our group do the Amsterdam classics like a walk through the Red Light District, canal cruises, and visiting the museums in Museumsplien. We’ll also learn about the history of Haarlem and get to see the amazing Gothic buildings in Rotterdam.
Our Beauty of the Netherlands Tour is just one of five stops on our Fat Girls World Tour 2024.
This fat-positive tour is open to travelers of all sizes and gender identities.
Inclusions
- Arrival and departure transfers are included on an individual basis.

Exclusions
- You are responsible for airport transfers, International airport departure tax, local city taxes unless mentioned, late-check out at hotels, and any costs related to visas, insurance, and flights.
- You are responsible for meals and drinks not mentioned in the itinerary, drinks with included lunches and dinners.
- You are responsible for optional activities and any services not mentioned in the itinerary.
- You are responsible for tips for our Tour Leader, Guides, and Driver.
Itinerary
Day 1: April 18, 2024
Location: Amsterdam
Amsterdam is a network of canals, bridges, and parks perfect for exploring in the spring. Our adventure begins with a welcome meeting at around 6 PM. After the welcome meeting, we’ll explore the Red Light District with our Tour Leader on our way to the Welcome Dinner.

Day 2: April 19, 2024
Location: Amsterdam
Perfect for art lovers, Amsterdam is home to plenty of museums. This is a free morning to enjoy Museumplein or sleep in. Around midday, we’ll connect for Annette’s favorite treat, a slice of apple pie from Winkle 43. Next, we’ll visit the Van Gogh Museum in Museumplein which has the largest collection of artworks by Vincent van Gogh in the world. In the evening we’ll reconnect for dinner and a cruise through the canals.

Day 3: April 20, 2024
Location: Amsterdam
Yesterday we visited a traditional museum, today we’ll visit more…unique museums. First, we’ll walk back to the Red-Light District to visit the Sex Museum. Next, we’ll continue by foot or by tram to the Marihuana Museum to see the collection of paintings and products developed from the plant.
After some free time and a lunch break, we’ll head to the Heineken Museum to learn about the most popular beer in town. For dinner feel free to explore on your own or join Annette at Foodhallen where you can choose between 20 different food vendors.

Day 4: April 21, 2024
Location: Amsterdam
After breakfast, we’ll visit the morning markets before enjoying a free day. You can keep exploring Amsterdam at your own pace or take an afternoon break. A day trip to Zaanse Schans is a great idea for those interested in seeing the historic windmills. In the evening we’ll board a boat and enjoy a leisurely wine and cheese cruise.

Day 5: April 22, 2024
Location: Amsterdam to Rotterdam
To we’re leaving Amsterdam and traveling by private transport to notable places outside the city. We’ll start in Haarlem with a walk in the main Square followed by lunch. Next, we’ll experience the tulip explosion at Keukenhof Garden. Followed by a spa session before continuing to Rotterdam where we’ll spend the next three nights.

Day 6: April 23, 2024
Location: Rotterdam
Rotterdam is a modern city with amazing Gothic buildings. During our orientation walk we’ll visit the market, the Kijk-Kube buildings, and the biggest port in Europe. Next, enjoy some free time to explore the city at your own pace.

Day 7: April 24, 2024
Destination: Rotterdam – Amsterdam
Our Beauty of the Netherlands Tour comes to an end today. There are no activities planned for the final day, except the airport departure transfer.

Cost of the Trip
To keep costs as low as possible we’re offering tiered pricing. This means that pricing will depend on how many people join us. A minimum of 7 travelers will need to join for this trip to move forward. We’ll have a maximum of 13 travelers. All pricing is based on double occupancy but a single supplement is available if you want a private room.

A non-refundable deposit of $400 is required at the time of booking to secure your spot. The final payment will be due 90 days before departure. Private rooms are available for an additional fee of $1,235 per person.
